Wintersett + another 1st record! 13.08.20

17 - 23 degrees with 8/8 cloud and a cool north easterly breeze.
Anglers CP: A juvenile Mediterranean Gull was in the shallows.  Video link:  https://twitter.com/i/status/1293846252392796162 .   Common Sandpiper 2.   Mallard 292 + 23 WRes.. Pochard 28 + 1 WRes.. Teal 3.  Greylag Goose 175.  Cormorant 13. 
Wintersett Res: A Ringed Plover flew over.  A calling Tree Pipit flew south over west bank at 12:22 hrs. Goldeneye 4 females.  Swift 1. 
Lepidoptera:  2 Gatekeeper were on the east bank WRes..  
Odonata: A Migrant Hawker was over the boathouse reeds. 
Overnight moth trapping:   Haworth's Minor 1 - the 1st Record for Wintersett.  
Maiden's Blush 1. The 4th record for the area.  Ear Moth agg.   Campion 2.  Old Lady 1.  Orange Swift 1.  Northern Spinach 1.  Beautiful Hook-tip 1.  Scarce Footman 1  Oak Hook-tip 2.
