An evening visit from 17.30 to 19.00 in amazingly warm, calm, sunny weather was birdless for spells but eventually produced a decent list:
Peregrine - seen at the horizon over Broomhead Moor.
Curlew - 2 together in adjacent fields calling. Swallow - 5, Kestrel -2 (ad+juv), Mistle Thrush - 3 (ad + 2 juvs), Meadow Pipit - 7, Stock Dove, Siskin - 1+, Buzzard, Linnet - 6, Goldfinch - 4, Raven, Willow Warbler - 5 (juvs + briefly singing adult), LBBG - 2 ads NW towards Langsett Res.
