10°C unseasonably mild at 05.30hrs.
A successful second twitch, for Eastern Crowned Warbler at Brotton this morning, was followed by a big surprise for Pete when he found a juvenile BLACK TERN on Anglers CP at 15.00hrs. It flew to Wintersett Res. at 15.52hrs and was still present at 16.45hrs.
This is an amazing record for this date and the first November record for here, maybe even for the Barnsley area, probably due to warm southerlies over the last few days.
A Little Egret flew south east over WRes at 14.10hrs. A 3rd W Yellow-legged Gull and 6 Goldeneye were on ACP.. Shoveler 17 WRes + 11 ACP, Pochard 3 WRes + 102 ACP.
Also flying: Common Darter 1.

Latest I have is one at Worsbrough Reservoir on 16th October 2001. However I also have 20th October written down without site or year. I'll check this out. Either way it is the latest record for the Barnsley area by a long chalk.
Thanks Martin.
