The Edge 10th November

Wombwell Ings - Present were 7 Mute Swan, 155 Canada Geese, 77+ Wigeon, 22 Teal, 16 Mallard, 14 Tufted Duck, 6 Gadwall, 4 Shoveler, 4 Pochard, 17 Cormorant, 4 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret, 9 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 176 Lapwing, 5 Snipe, 227 BH Gull, 5 LBB Gull, 1 Common Gull, 1 Herring Gull, 7+ Redwing, 3 Skylark and 2 Yellowhammer.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 4 Mute Swan, 25 Canada Geese, 26 Pochard, 18 Gadwall, 16 Tufted Duck, 8 Mallard, 1 female Goosander, 1 female Goldeneye, 7 Little Grebe, 4 Great Crested Grebe, 72 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 105 BH Gull and 18 Common Gull. Also present were 3 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel, 1 Barn Owl, 5 Snipe, 1 Grey Wagtail and 12 Long Tailed Tit. A Cabbage White Butterfly was seen along Warbler Way.
