Wombwell Ings - c85% ice covered. Present were 2+2y Mute Swan, 46 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 67+ Wigeon, 13 Mallard, 7 Teal, 2 Shoveler, 2 Goosander, 1 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 7 Grey Partridge, 15 Coot. 4 Moorhen, 63 Lapwing, 1 Golden Plover, 2 Kestrel, 136 BH Gull, 2 Common Gull, 4 Redwing, 1 Green Woodpecker and 1 Song Thrush.
Bolton Ings - Ice free. On the open water were 5+3y Mute Swan, 138 Greylag, 24 Pochard, 19 Tufted Duck, 15 Shoveler, 9 Gadwall, 8 Mallard, 4 Goosander, 2m+1f Goldeneye, 3 Teal, 2 Little Grebe, 130 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 15 BH Gull and 9 Common Gull. Also present were 2 Cormorant, 4 Bullfinch and 1 Green Woodpecker.
