Wintersett + Excellent Vis.Mig. + Gull Roost 28.10.18

2 - 6 degrees with 3/8 cloud and a very cold north wind, to NNE in afternoon.
Anglers CP Vis.Mig  06.30 - 16.30hrs per Paul Meredith et al.
Going west north west: An all day Starling movement totalling 6235 , is almost double our previous vis mig record, with strongest movement late morning.  
Going west:  A juvenile Gannet at 12.58hrs - the 2nd of this autumn.  Fieldfare 1553.  Redwing 71.  Mistle Thrush 1. Skylark 24 + 11 east.  Snipe 6.  Grey Heron 1 high.  Dunlin 5.
Going north:  Knot 4 at 13.15hrs, new for the year list.
Going north west: Brambling 13.
Going south west: Wood Pigeon 1240.
Anglers CP: A Jack Snipe dropped on the shore of the shallows from high east at 08.15hrs.  Whooper Swans 4 flew in from the south at 09.17h and left east at 16.15hrs.  A female Common Scoter dropped in at 11.05hrs and stayed until dark. 
Anglers CP Gull Roost at dusk: per Steve Denny - 300  Herring Gulls, 150 Great Black Backed Gulls. 33 Goosander.
