The News

Old Moor: Little Egret 3, Bittern, Pintail 7 (in from east this evening), Hobby, Golden Plover 420, Ringed Plover 8, Dunlin 21, Curlew Sand,  Ruff 11, Black-tailed Godwit 16, Spot Red 1, Redshank 1, Green Sand 3.


FJ is back - Keith Pickering

The colour-ringed Little Egret seen for the last few days at Old Moor has now been confirmed as our old freind 'FJ'. It  was ringed as a nestling, on 14th May, 2011 near The Laurels Farm, Terrington St Clement, Norfolk. OS Map reference TF5623, co-ordinates 52deg 47min N 0deg 19min E. It was also seen at Old Moor on at least 14th March 2012 which is138 km from the ringing site, direction NW.


Wombwell Ings: Spot Red 3, Black-tailed Godwit 16 (but different to Old Moor), Chiffchaff 3.

Bolton Ings: Pintail 5 (3 in at 12.55).
