Ewden, stone circle track to cabin and back, 8/8/15.
Hobby 2, Merlin 1, Sparrowhawk 1 pair, Buzzard 6, Kestrel 8+, Raven 6, Stonechat 10, Ring Ouzel 1 calling and seen briefly, Redstart 2 near entrance gate, Curlew 1 over s., Mistle Thrush 10, GS Woodpecker 2 in valley woods. Small partys of Red Grouse flushed regular near track , 60+. , hiding from the guns already?.

Don't have to hide this year. Shooting cancelled on Broomhead Moor. Very low numbers. Other moors in our area to be assessed later.
