Carlton Marsh

On the warmest June day so far 27c, Garden Warbler, Grey Wagtail, Buzzard, Collared Dove (a scarce bird here) 2 Goldcrest in Scots Pine, is also unusual at this time of year! LRP and Lapwing are back on the wader scrape after the floods recently.

A Bank Vole was happily feeding 3ft up in an Elder on the fresh green leaves.

Insects included 10 Ringlet, 4 Meadow Brown, 6 Large Skipper, a female Black-tailed Skimmer, a male Broad -bodied Chaser and 10+ Four Spotted Chasers.
