Wintersett + Damsels and Dragons 18.06.17

18  to 26 degrees with sunshine and a light westerly breeze.
Anglers CP:  Common Tern 6 + 2 WRes.  Pink-footed Goose 1.  Greylag Goose 64. Wigeon 1 female. Gadwall 2 small young. Pochard 1.
Botany Area:  A male Yellow Wagtail was on George's path.
Moorhouse Lane Ponds: Mallard 4 small young.
Wintersett Res:  A Cuckoo and a Grasshopper Warbler were heard on the north east bank.
Overnight Moth Highlights: Beautiful Hooktip 3,  Scarce Silver-lines `,  Marbled White Spot 1,  Dingy Shell 1,  Beautiful Carpet 1 and Pinion-streaked Snout 1.
Odonata: There was a good variety, but very low numbers of Dragonflies and Damselflies considering the weather was spot on!
At ACP: A male LESSER  EMPEROR was very mobile off the east bank.   A rare for here, Banded Demoiselle was seen off the south bank by Mick Hemingway.  Red-veined Darter 1 male.
Moorhouse Lane/Disposal Point Area. : Azure Damselfly 1 male.  Large Red Damselfly 1.
