Carlton Marsh

A full grown immature Greylag succumbed to a Dog Fox this morning near the wader scrape. It cached its kill before taking the cubs to look at it. Garden Warbler, Buzzard and Peregrine were the only birds of note today.
Insects
Chris Parkin counted 14 species of butterfly that included 15 Comma, 14 Small Skipper, 6 Red Admiral, Small Copper and 324 Ringlets.
I saw our first Brown Hawker, Banded Demoiselle and 3 Southern Hawkers.
