The highlights for today were; 5 Goosander (3m) on a small pond at Bleachcroft Farm, which is just south of the wader scrape. (Mick Littlewood) On the former was Little Egret, 35 Herring Gull, 2 Common Gull, Cormorant and 2 Snipe. Also of note a flock of c25 Linnets on an adjacent ploughed field, Willow Tit, 5 Bullfinch, 8 Tufted Duck and a Peregrine. (J. PLant/ R. Heeley)
The site will be disturbed from Monday due to management work.
