13 species of butterfly today included the first Painted Lady of the year, 3 Small Tortoiseshell from a new brood, 6 Meadow Brown, 9 Speckled Wood, 4 Large Skipper, 3 Dingy Skipper, 7 Common Blue, 1 Small Copper and 1m Orange-tip.
Other insects included 1m Banded Demoiselle and 2 Four Spot Chaser. (Chris Parkin)
Cudworth Common
A male Emperor dragonfly was in the company of a male Broad-bodied Chaser and loads of Azure Damsels. Butterflies on show were 20 Common Blue and 15 Small Heath. (Les Corrall)
