Cudworth Common

A walk over the common this morning with Mr. Corrall provided Buzzard and Kestrel.

Insects included 6 Large Skipper, 9 Meadow Brown, 3 Common Blue, 5 Small Tortoiseshell, 3 Small Heath, 2 Cinnabar and a Yellow Shell moth. A Scorpion fly on a bramble leaf looked like Panorpa communis.

Symphony
Tucked away in the safety of the factory compound a pair of Redshanks and several Lapwings. We saw pairs with 3 & 4 chicks and there were at least 4 Ringed Plover adults. 

Littleworth - Monk Bretton
All 3 Skipper species today included an early Small Skipper and 2 late Dingy Skipper. A good number of 12 Small Tortoiseshell, 42 Meadow Brown, 37 Small Heath, 2 Yellow Shell and a Common Yellow Conch (Agapeta hamana). ( Chris Parkin)
