2 to 5pm. Heavy downpour at 3-50pm, otherwise breezy and warm with good light. Hobby 1 twice, second time showed quite well but lost to view over Midhope res. Merlin 1, presumed Male, looked small. Sparrowhawk 1, C Buzzard 5. Chipping and displaying Snipe still impressive with 10+. Chaffinch nest found in hawthorn full of chicks. Swift c15 blogging and Swallows and House Martins showing well down collecting mud. Flock of 9 Crossbills over towards Langsett.
