Carlton Marsh

Last night I counted 9 singing Song Thrushes (6 on the reserve and 3 on the branch line to Ardagh Glassworks) and a singing Water Rail in Glyceria on the wader scrape (a new site for it).

3 Foxes (1 single and 2 together) barking and screaming at dusk.

New in this morning drake Pochard, and a Cuckoo was singing. (K. Bannister) In addition this afternoon Buzzard, male Grey Wagtail, 9 LBB and 20 Herring Gulls.
