One of the better days of a generally poor autumn. Thrushes mainly started after about 09.00 and continued into early afternoon. A House Martin south was a surprise, as was a male Stonechat.
Going south: Fieldfare 1370 in larger flocks - 240, 190 and 110 were the largest. Merlin 1. A House Martin was a surprise! Brambling 5. Dunlin 1. Herring Gull 50. Yellow-legged Gull 1. Going west: Redwing 1023 in small flocks.
Going east: A male Stonechat made its way eastwards along the lake edge reedbeds.
Anglers CP: Lesser Redpoll 210. Black-necked Grebe 1.
