A steady trickle of migrants today included several single swallows, 3 Sand Martins, 6 Swifts and a Cream Crown Marsh Harrier at 13.54hrs heading north.
Also of note 7 Whitethroat singing, 2 Redshank 2 Grey Partridge, Kingfisher, Cuckoo, 3 broods of Mallard, 3 broods of Greylag, 1 brood of Canada Goose and 3 broods of Coot.
A butterfly count produced 4m Brimstone, 7 Small Tortoiseshell, 15 Peacock, 14 Speckled Wood and 28m Orange-tip (C. Parkin).
Another clump of the edible St. George's Mushroom was fresh up and this year's first Yellow Archangel was in in flower (L. & A Corrall/M. Littlewood/D. Standish/C. Parkin/CG).
