The Garganey pair were seen this morning on the scrape (P. Rawson). 28 Herring and 6 LBB Gulls were on the wader scrape along with a Redshank that called in at 19.25hrs (R. Laverack).
Earlier a pair of Goldcrests were in the car park and 2 juvenile Grey Wagtails were being fed by the adults near the hide (L. & A Corrall).
Butterflies included 2 Holly Blue, 2 Small Copper and 4 Orange-tip males.
A small Grass Snake about 18 inches long found its way into Rich Gorman's outside toilet block in Upper Cudworth. It was released at the reserve later.
