Wintersett Res:
A female Nightjar was flushed from small area of habitat at Wintersett this morning. Unfortunately it flew away and wasn’t relocated despite several observers searching. An evening watch at Botany Bay, by Wintersett Birders, saw the Nightjar several times, in flights over and around the trees. The female Nightjar gave exellent views at Wintersett Reservoir as it flew over us feeding, from 21.16hrs to 21.25hrs. The 1st record for 48 years and a patch tick for all the locals!!
