A Cuckoo sang very briefly on arrival at 6.30. 3 Swallows are back on territory near farm buildings. 2 Redstarts sang in close proximity with a Yellowhammer also singing nearby. Up to 7 Tree Pipits were in full song as well as 20+ Skylarks and c30 Linnets were around a traditional nesting site.
Lapwings were being very territorial with at least one chick seen but probably more around. 5 Stonechat, 3 Wheatear, 2 separate calling Curlew and 2 Ravens also seen. Finally a calling Yellow Wagtail was a nice record.
