Rabbit Ings

This afternoons highlights: 5 Short-eared Owls were flying together at 14.29hrs calling and wing clapping in display flight. What a spectacle that would have been! There must be an awful lot of voles, as up to 6 Kestrels were also hovering at various points. 25 Redwing were present. (Dave Smith back after illness) Soon after, a Peregrine flew over and landed in the distance on a pylon and c50 Fieldfare came in. (Keith Bannister)

Pink Feet Geese:
c300 in two skeins flew west over Currys in Barnsley at about 14.00hrs.yesterday. (Chris Parkin)
Today c50 flew NW over Storrs Mill Wood at 11.25hrs.

Mild temperatures last night enticed a Chestnut Moth to fly to my light trap.
Has anyone had difficulty posting photos? The browse facility is not coming up to be able to upload on my PC or Laptop.
