Wintersett extras

The evening gull roost on the Country Park lake held;- Caspian Gull- the usual dark first-winter came in at 16.23 and two Yellow-legged Gulls (3rd-winter and 1st-winter) were also roosting on here. Other gull numbers;- GBBGull 38, LBBGull 7, Herring Gull 220. All the smaller gulls roosted on the Top Res with about 7000 Black-heads. A good roost count of 75 Goosanders were on the Country Park at dusk and lastly a Bittern was roosting in the Top Res reedbeds just before dark.
However, the main news of the day concerned what Pete Smith was wearing ! A brand spanking new pair of Swarovski 10x42s around his neck!
