Low Moor/Broomhead Moor.

Mr Tyke did the shooting cabin today while I stayed down at Low Moor ..

Low Moor .. A single flock of c21 mistle thrushes were hanging around to the North of Midhope res and a greater pecker was also heard , Buzzards were 1+5+3+1, Kestrels 1+1+1, Peregrine 1+1, a single curlew was seen and heard as it flew over the res and out over the moor before doing a 'u' turn and heading back again. Lesser black backs were seen in various numbers streaming towards Langsett (30+ at least) and then a flock of c30 birds were seen feeding in a field North of Midhope Res ..

Mr Tyke's totals were common buzzard 7, marsh harrier 1 (cream crown), kestrel 2, peregrine 1, raven 4, mipit c50 in a single flock, whinchat 4 and stonechat 3 ...
