National waterfowl counting day again and the highlights from Edderthorpe which is holding a lot of water at present are;-
Mute Swan 11, Greylag Goose 102, Shelduck 8, Gadwall 89, Wigeon 81, Teal 280+, Shoveler 26, Mallard 190, Goosander 9, Pochard 12, Lapwing 400, Golden Plover 17, Coot 14, Grey Heron 8, Kingfisher 1. A Barn Owl is roosting in a tree close by the Flash.
