Wintersett update - gulls again!

The roost on the Country Park was excellent this evening;- highlight was this adult 'Kumliens Gull' (the lower bird in the photo with 2 Herring Gulls) which came in at 3.05pm and was present until dark. It's the same bird which was present a couple of days ago and looks very much like the Broomhead bird which was present to last Saturday. (hopefully better photos might appear soon). Also; Yellow-legged Gull 4 adults, GBBGull 577, LBBGull 1, Herring Gull 2214 (best count for many years), Goosander 52 and Teal 49.

Looks like your gain was Broomhead Reservoirs loss. Just c1200 Black-headed Gulls, 81 Common Gulls, 112 Herring Gulls, 9 Lesser Black-backs and 19 Great Black-backs roosted here this evening - per SBSG website
