Wombwell Ings mid AM-Present were 3 Mute Swan, 74 Canada Geese, 21 Greylag, 1 Egyptian Goose, 2 Shelduck, 105+ Wigeon, 14 Teal, 9 Tufted Duck, 5 Mallard, 4 Gadwall, 2f Goosander, 1 Shoveler, 1 Pochard, 2 Grey Heron, 12 Coot, 5 Moorhen, 7 Lapwing, 3 Redshank, 14 BH Gull, 1 Common Gull, 4 Skylark, 3 Reed Bunting and 1 Chiffchaff.
Broomhill Flash late AM-Not so fresh in was Seev whose got a cold due to his recent migration from the Far East. Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 9 Canada Geese, 32+ Wigeon, 15 Tufted Duck, 11 Pochard, 5 Mallard, 4 Teal, 4 Gadwall, 2 Shoveler, 2 Goldeneye, 8 Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant, 32 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 15 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Redshank, 250+ BH Gull, 2 LBB Gull (not looking good for BH Gull chicks if they nest!!!), 1 Common Gull, 1 Buzzard and 1 Kestrel.
Bolton Ings late AM/early PM-On the open water were 23 Mute Swan, 8 Greylag, 7 Canada Geese, 13 Tufted Duck, 9 Pochard, 7 Mallard, 5 Shoveler, 4 Gadwall, 4 Goldeneye, 2 Wigeon, 1 Teal, 4 Little Grebe, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 41 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 243+ BH Gull and 1 Common Gull. Also present were the light-coloured Buzzard hunting between the pools, 1 Kestrel, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 yaffling Green Woodpecker and 5 Chiffchaff.
