Dave Pearce spent the day 'doing the rounds'up here and came up with the following;-
The three White-fronted Geese seen distantly at Royd Moor, just a single Great Grey Shrike at Low Moor, Upper Midhope, a Red Kite which headed north-east at 11.30 - 11.40, and a skein of 32 Whooper Swans flying west at 11.10. Also 'drumming' Common Snipe and plenty of Lapwings and Curlews at Low Moor.
