Wintersett Catch-up 21.11.15 - 07.12.15

I heard the weather has been mostly windy and wet but mild.


November
 21st: ACP A Little Egret flew over north 14.25hrs.   2 adult Wooper Swan on   CHRes. 

 22nd  ACP  A Chiffchaff was ringed.  8 Common and 1 Jack Snipe.  90 Starling flew west.  Barn  Owl 1 at 15.35hrs,  Caspian Gull 1 adult 16.15hrs,  Yellow-legged Gulll adult (Psycho) and  47  Goosander at dark.   WRes  A Dunlin flew over  11.10hrs.  41 Goldeneye in the area.
          
 23rd  ACP  A Dunlin flew over.   Chiffchaff 1,  Barn Owl 1.  WRes: Cetti's Warbler 1 male west bank,  Water Rail 1.

24th  WRes  Cetti's Warbler 1 male north bank,  Greylag Goose 121 ACP.

25th  ACP  Caspian Gull  1 4th W at 15.35hrs (last years big usual 3rdW),   Woodcock 1 at dark WRes  Cetti's Warbler 1 male north bank + a Pipistrelle Bat at dark.

26th  ACP  Starling  46 west,  Barn Owl 1.  WRes  Linnet 1 over,  Water Rail 1 north bank.

27th ACP  Yellow-legged Gull  2 2ndW + 1 adult (Psycho).  Herring Gull 1 ringed -LLegJ8620 RLeg 2 metal - large above small.  (no response re origin,  as of 09.12.12)

28th  ACP   Red Kite 1 west 11.38hrs,  Peregrine 1 over 11.40hrs.  Yellow-legged Gull 1 2ndW +  adult (Psycho).   WRes  Cetti's Warbler 1 south east corner,  Water Rail 2.

29th  WRes   Mediterranean Gull  1 ringed adult 10.45hrs then to ACP E551, Caspian Gull 1      4thW (different).   ACP   Yellow-legged Gull  1 2ndW

30th WRes  Cetti's Warbler 1 male south east corner,  Goosander 17.

December
1st  Area totals:  Cormorant 18,  Little Grebe 10,  Goosander 19,  Shoveler 4,  Pochard 119,  Teal 2

2nd Area Totals:  Greylag 119,  Little Grebe 10,  Shoveler 5,  Goosander 17

3rd  Area Totals Pochard 136.  Teal 12,   WRes Cetti's Warbler 1 - south east corner.

4th  WRes  Cormorant 4,  Water Rail 1.
