Wombwell Ings - A good start to the day with 4 Fieldfare in the park, 4 Red Legged Partridge just on the ings, 2 Goldcrest in a flock of 9+ Long Tailed Tit along the Bulling Dyke, 3 Grey Partridge halfway towards the hide and then a Buzzard foraging in the middle of the back field. Wasn't bad either when I got to the hide with 220+ Canada Geese, 4 Greylag, 1 Shelduck, 72 Wigeon, 10 Teal, 11 Mallard, 9 Tufted Duck, 9 Shoveler, 6 Goosander, 3 Gadwall, 2 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 17 Coot, 4 Moorhen, 1 Kestrel, 91 Lapwing, 32 Golden Plover and 57 BH Gull.
TPT - 6+ Long Tailed Tit, 1 Jay, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Song Thrush, and 3 Redpoll.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 3 Mute Swan, 11+ Canada Geese, 17 Tufted Duck, 10 Mallard, 7 Pochard, 2 Gadwall, 1 female Goldeneye, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Grebe, 131 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 13 BH Gull and 4 Common Gull. Also present were 6 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Lapwing and 2 Jay.
