This afternoon was good with Little Egret, Water Rail and 18 Shoveler The previous record was 14 on 6/10/88. Kingfisher, 2 Wigeon, 2 Tawny Owl and 4 Pintail included at least 1 male. They equalled a fly through record of 4 on 7/10/05 and were the first since 23/9/10!
Bittern gave good views again from 17.00hrs to 17.30hrs and from 18.39hrs to 18.45hrs. It is only seeable from the hide, which is kept locked. However, if you want to visit it will be open from 17.00hrs tomorrow evening and maybe open if someone is down in the morning.
