Wintersett + VisMig 28.10.17

9 - 11 degrees with 7/8 cloud and a moderate SSW wind.
Anglers CP VisMig: 07.20 - 16.15hrs.
No big numbers, but nice variety of birds, considering the strength of the wind.  A Red Kite flew low over back fields and left north 08.20hrs.  The highlight of the day was 2 Hawfinch west at 09.15hrs, which were seen by everyone present.(Phew!)  6  single Bullfinch were heading deliberately west  (after eight doing the same on 15th) - Where are these coming from/going to?
Also going west:  Fieldfare 382.  Redwing 370.  Starling 195. Brambling 2.  Siskin 3.  Snipe 3.  Goldfinch 64. Skylark 6.  Song Thrush 4. Reed Bunting 6.  Chaffinch 8.  Green Finch 6.  Lesser Redpoll 3.  Common Buzzard 1.
Also:  Wood Pigeon 170 south.  House Martin 4 south  and  Golden Plover 7 south west.
Anglers CP: Goosander 18 at dawn. Goldeneye 8.  Little Grebe 6.
