Wintersett 18.03.18


-2 degrees with 8/8 cloud,  drifting snow in a freezing easterly wind.
Anglers CP: The summer plumaged Black-necked Grebe was off the east bank this morning.  Other birds were on the move 18 Golden Plover and a Curlew over.  10 Whooper Swans flew north west at 10.20hrs. 200 Starlings flew over.  120 Redwing flew south east.  40 Golden Plover were in CP field + 25 went east.
Wintersett Res: The drake Common Scoter still present. A Marsh Harrier flew over south east at 08.30hrs.  A Redshank was on the boathouse slipway, and later at Anglers CP.  70 Fieldfare flew over south west + 300 went south east.  18 Yellowhammers were in the south east area.2 Chiffchaff were on the north west bank.
