I didn't manage to get out, but I was rewarded with a Red Kite drifting over the fields in front of my Newtown home at 13.30hrs. It was heading SW high over the fields towards Lundwood. Three quarters of an hour later 3 Buzzards were soaring over the same fields, which are soon to be under concrete and clay, 278 houses are being built in front of my home. One of two Red-legged Partridges that came in at teatime. I don't think I will see these in my garden anymore. The photo is a bit blurred, taken through the window.
