Woolley Dam, Bretton cp, Wilthorpe Marsh 2/3/18.

Woolley Dam - very steady but 4 GS Peckers with a fem. showing well. 4 Teal, 4 Fieldfare. Bretton CP - low lake half frozen, top lake all frozen.- Goosander 4, Shoveler 11 nearly all males in top plumage. Common Gull 1 juv., 3 Lapwing down, c 80 Jackdaws, Nuthatch 2, GS Pecker 1, Song Thrush 5, 1 Grey Partridge flushed. Wilthorpe Marsh - weather affected birds here with 5 Jack Snipe flushed off the marsh edges with one refusing to leave a small dyke. 3 C Snipe, 200+ Lapwing down, 2 Golden Plover down, 5 Grey Partridge, c 400 Starlings down, 1 ad. Common Gull through.
