Wilthorpe Marsh 24/8/22.

Very quiet but still a few surprises. Calling Willow Tit at the western end of the canal his probably the first record of the year here. Also 2 singing Cetti's Warblers with 1 on the canal near tinkers pond which also revealed a Lesser Whitethroat. Family party of Sparrowhawks are in the conifer plantation here and calling all the time. Pair of Kingfishers have been regular this month from the river bridges with shoals of Chub and Minnows in the shallows.
