hot and cold
News from Old Moor today: Cetti's Warbler, 2 Oystercatchers, Green Sandpiper and the colour-ringed Little Egret. Does anybody know where it was rung? Maybe the Barnsley Blade would have the best chance - Custard Power!
Other news of interest included 5 Ringed Plovers at Edderthorpe Flash and a Jack Snipe at Old Moor. The latter was skulking in a fridge however, having been picked up dead yesterday on Gypsy Marsh, a former stronghold of this secretive wader. Interesting, if sad.
