The Top Res gull roost held a real rarity this evening - Azorean Atlantic Gull, a near adult. At present this is a race of Yellow-legged Gull but may well be split in the future. The bird was found at 4.15 pm and watched from the bridge until dark. Photos should be appearing on here soon(dont expect too good photos - it was getting dark).
All the usual wildfowl is present;- American Wigeon spent all day on the CP, both Scaups, 3 Egyptian Geese, Pintail etc. A Short-eared Owl was over the CP late morning, 12 Waxwings late morning and 120 Pink-feet flew through. A late Red Admiral was still flying.
