Blue sky, cool and sunny.
The highlights today were in the gull roost this afternoon. At 15.30 hrs a first winter Caspian Gull wearing a yellow ring was spotted, followed ,at 16.00hrs, by another Caspian Gull, this time an adult. Seeing two of these birds in the same roost is a first for Wintersett Res.
Other highlights today: A flock of 11 Crossbills passed through Haw Park Wood and another first for here was a female Blackcap on the feeding station in Anglers CP car park.

WRes: Drake American Wigeon in NE corner. Male Scaup and juv male Scaup off west bank. Egyptian Goose 2 in north bank field and 1 ACP.
Botany Bay: Common Buzzard and Female Scaup.
AnglersCP: Goosander 9, Water Rail 1.
Correction from yesterday. ACP: Pochard should have read 165 (not 16).
