Had three hours down at Broomhead Reservoir with Russ Boland and Jeff Wragg. There was a fair number of gulls in the roost with 2027 Black-headed Gulls, 8 Common Gulls, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 784 Herring Gulls, 326 Great Black-backed Gulls and 1 juvenile Glaucous Gull (that was one of the last dozen or so gulls to arrive).
Also present 9 Mallards, 5 (4 drakes) Goosanders, 1 Cormorant and 1 Tawny Owl.

Langsett Reservoir (9th January) - gull roost - 973 Black-headed Gulls, 11 Common Gulls and 7 Herrings Gulls that left towards Broomhead Reservoir - per SBSG website,
A very similar picture to 6th January.
