''Big news'

The 'big news' (literally) from Old Moor this morning is that of a Raven seen on a pylon before flying off towards Manvers Lake. Assuming acceptance this would be only the second site record. Ravens have been breeding only a few miles away for many years and it has long been expected that one might stray into our recording area and stick around although they are notoriously site loyal. Hopefully this one will break the mould?
