Broomhill Flash mid AM- Highlight was a Whooper Swan which flew in at 9.05am. A male Peregrine was perched on the top of the pylon in Clegg's Meadow for 30 mins from 10am. A female Peregrine dropped into the back field at 10.50am. On the open water were 7 Cormorant, 1 Little Grebe, 3adult+1juv Mute Swan, 44 Wigeon, 20 Tufted Duck, 13 Mallard, 7 Pochard, 5 Gadwall, 5 Teal, 1m+1f Goldeneye, 92+ BH Gull and 3 Common Gull. Also present were 300+ Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 5 Red Legged Partridge, 2 Skylark, 2 Reed Bunting and 1 Oystercatcher.
Bolton Ings late AM- On the open water were 1 Cormorant, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Little Grebe, 3a+1juv Mute Swan, 2 Greylag, 75 Gadwall, 14 Tufted Duck, 12 Teal, 8 Pochard, 8+ Mallard, 3 Shoveler, 1m+1f Goldeneye, 395+ BH Gull and 11 Common Gull. Also noted were 20 CanadaGeese, 50+ flyover Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Gt Spotted Woodpecker, 10+ Redpoll, 1 Kestrel and 1 Grey Wagtail( on R.Dearne).
