Very good light eventually with the increase in cloud. The only fault with the weather was the wind which eventually eased. Patience required and the Lammergeier showed briefly in the upper commons/White Carr area at 3-20pm veiwed from the shooting lodge. Also, - 2 Hobby, 2 C Buzzard, 5 Kestrel. Raven 5, Golden Plover 5, Meadow Pipit total c 30 with a few still feeding young. Male Crossbill down briefly flew s over the lodge. 2 family party’s of Stonechat seen, Swift 4 s., Feral Pigeon flock c 100 n. Moths well worthy of a mention were c20 Oak Eggers at the lodge.
