Anglers CP VisMig: Going south: Sand Martin 57. Swift 59.
Anglers CP: A Snipe was on the shallows. Psycho, the adult Yellow-legged Gull paid a visit. Common Gull 1 adult. Tufted Duck 8 very small young. Mallard 1 small young. Great Crested Grebe 5. One GCGrebe laid an egg in it's nest in the SW corner, then went swimming, and within 5 minutes it had been predated by a Coot! Oystercatcher 4. Common Sandpiper 1.
37 Birds were ringed this morning. Highlights were - 16 Chiffchaff. 9 Willow Warblers. 4 Blackcap. 1 Whitethroat. 1 Lesser Whitethroat and 4 Tree Sparrows.
Wintersett Res: Goldeneye 1 female. Common Tern 6.
Lepidoptera: A Ringlet and a Large Skipper seen at ACP. A Gatekeeper was seen near Golf Course.
Odonata: Brown Hawker 9 ACP and 10 from ACP to Stubbs Wood. 2 Southern Hawkers were seen in Haw Park Wood.
Reptile: A Grass Snake was seen in the area.
