The female Mute Swan Y643 that arrived yesterday continued to deteriorate even though her wings and legs were in good condition. So a call to the Swan Rescue Service resulted in the bird being collected this evening by Dave Pointon, who took it to be kept locally overnight before it goes to the Selby Swan Rescue Hospital tomorrow. A huge thanks to Dave and Dan from the Rescue Service for coming so quickly (CG). She was ringed at Thrybergh Country Park on 6th October 2020 after an injury to her wing.
