Wintersett + Vis.Mig. 30.09.2021

Anglers CP Vis.Mig:    GJ Speight, S Denny, P.Meredith, A Smith. 

Highlight of the morning was a Red-breasted Merganser that dropped in at 09.20hrs, then left very high west at 10.30hrs.  It returned to the lake 11.20hrs, stayed to 12.25hrs when it left south. It  returned  again  at 13.03hrs and was still present at 13.30hrs.  

A Ruff dropped in at 10.50hrs.

Going south:  

Sand Martin 2.   Swallow 73.  House Martin 130.  Meadow Pipit 334. 

Common Gull 1 adult.  Lesser Black-backed Gull 54.  Skylark 23.  Song Thrush 3.

Grey Wagtail 1.   alba Wagtail 30.   Chaffinch 16 (some south, some west).

Greenfinch 4.   Linnet 8.  Goldfinch 12.  Reed Bunting 1.  

Going west: 

Shoveler 2.  Snipe 5 (2 + 2 +1).  

Today was better in terms of quality.   RBM is not annual here these days,  

and Ruff is becoming increasingly scarce, this being only the second of the year
