Bolton Ings - Sunday 20th July
18c this morning at 8 o'clock when I started out, humid and hot in the sun, breezy and temp up to 23c when I left. Very busy on the open water today with over 300 Coot and nearly 200 Gadwall, a group of 10 Shoveler flew West. 164 Lapwings also flew West as well as a Little Egret, 8 Oystercatchers flew in from the Golf Course. A Barn Owl was out hunting and the few Warblers that are still singing included 4 Chiffchaffs, 2 Reed Warblers, 1 Sedge Warbler and 1 Whitethroat.
