Wintersett + Reptiles and a Moth 1st. 08.05.18

16 - 24 degrees with 0/8 cloud. Sunny and hot with a light north westerly until late afternoon, then a 10 degree drop in temperature and light, steady rain for an hour.
Anglers CP: A Red Kite was circling to the north east at 10.25hrs.
Teal 1m + 1 f..  Oystercatcher 4 + 2  Cold Hiendley SF.
Old Royston Flash: Lapwing 11 adults + 3 young.
Reptiles:  2 Grass Snakes were seen in the area.   A Terrapin was in the north east reed bed WRes..
Overnight moth trapping was brilliant,  with 2 Lunar Marbled Brown (1st record for the area), Barred Hook-tip (2nd record, previous one was in 1997!) and Yellow-barred Brindle the highlights.
