Carlton Marsh

It was a cold start to the day, but it soon warmed up. On the wader scrape first thing Little Ringed Plover, Oystercatcher, Grey Wagtail, 2 LBB Gulls and 5 Herring Gulls. A Garden Warbler was quietly feeding below the view point and Cuckoo, Cetti's Warbler and Lesser Whitethroat were singing. 3 Buzzards, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk were soaring on the thermals and Kingfisher was about. This evening 2 Swifts flew over at 18.50hrs (Dave Standish).
