Hugset Wood

A Silver Washed Fritillary was feeding on a Buddleja this morning near the cottage, at the end of the lane, after turning left under the motorway from Higham crossroads. Also on the same bush Painted Lady and 2 Red Admirals. 7 White Letter Hairstreak's were in the wood itself around the top of Wych Elms (Ralph Hibbert/Les Corrall).

They were recorded in Hugset in 2014. There is a report from New Park Spring in 1901. They may have occurred sporadically at Bretton Park in the first half of the 20th Century.
